ANTI-PREDEATORY LENDING COUNSELING

Do you have a predatory loan? Do you have an excessively high interest rate? Were you properly notified of your obligation for closing costs?
Ask a PCCA counselor to review your loan and direct you on the right path. High interest rates, unsigned documents, high fee charges, or violations of the Home Lending Disclosure Act can all be assessed and potentially resolved.

This service is designed to inform, educate and assist the housing consumer in avoiding becoming victims of predatory loans or practices in the market place. Consumers with predatory loans can be assisted in addressing a predatory loan through a loan investigation process designed to involve legal assistance upon determination that the loan is in fact predatory. Counselors review loan closing and application documents to determine if Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA) and fair lending laws have been violated. Referrals to local legal assistance agencies are made for cases found to be predatory.
